is the 2nd youngest MTNA competition. He asked those in attendance

are automatic with price index in by‐laws. She attended and enjoyed all four
state conferences. She shared that Dr. Jane Magrath is the MTNA 2016 conference
committee chair, and announced 2016 conference artists. Since Martha Hilley was the 2015 conference
chair, Ard called attention to the fact that this will be two years in a row
that the chair was from the South Central Division.
Central Division Director elect, Sherry Frush, NCTM reviewed membership and
called attention to the new MTNA members-only section of the MTNA website. She announced that Oklahoma and Texas would
be recognized at the conference for having positive growth in membership and stressed
the importance of communication.
Central State Presidents May Tsao-Lim, Arkansas, Lawanda Blakeney, Louisiana
president-elect, Barbara Fast, Oklahoma and Karen Wallace, Texas highlighted
portions of their written reports.
Central Division Competitions Chair, Lauren Schack-Clark, announced the
national competition winners in senior brass and junior piano. She stressed the importance of the runner-up
students staying competition ready. Since the Texas young artist brass winner
was unable to attend the national competition, the Arkansas runner-up was able
